Kattya conducts research in neuroscience and education as a research assistant at the Experimental Psychology Laboratory of the University of Cuenca since April 2025.

Experience

Kattya has stood out as a research assistant in the project “Investigation of Repetitive and Stereotyped Behaviors in Autism Spectrum Disorder” and as coordinator of the Neuroscience Study Club at the University of Cuenca, promoting academic collaboration.

She is the author of the article “Exploratory analysis of the relationship between anxiety and emotional intelligence in university students who are caregivers and non-caregivers during the Coronavirus pandemic. Case: Cuenca, Ecuador” and the chapter “Analysis of anxiety and emotional intelligence in caregivers and non-caregivers during the COVID-19 pandemic in Ecuador” in Psychology and COVID-19 in the Americas, Vol. I (2023).

She is currently researching child malnutrition in Ecuador at LIDE while strengthening her teaching skills.
