Guayaquil, August 5, 2023 – The Ecuadorian Development Research Lab (LIDE), in collaboration with DataCamp, launched the call for applications for the El Quantificador Scholarships 2023–2024. The program will award 20 premium DataCamp licences to 10 men and 10 women from anywhere in Ecuador. Applications are open at this link until August 31, 2023.

DataCamp is a gamified, industry-leading e-learning platform offering specialized online courses for careers in the data industry. It offers training in technologies such as R, Python, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and many more. The platform is entirely asynchronous, allowing users to learn at their own pace and master their desired data language(s) online.

Eligibility profile

• University students enrolled in any higher education institution in Ecuador
• Low-income employed or underemployed individuals
• No restrictions on field of study
• Must have the time and motivation to study on the platform each week

Scholarship information

• Accounts will be activated on September 15, 2023, and will remain active for one year, until September 15, 2024.
• After the scholarship ends, premium access will be removed, but users will retain their accounts along with all progress and certificates.
• Participants are expected to complete a DataCamp career track in data analysis, data science, or data engineering.
• Students must begin studying immediately after receiving their accounts. Scholarships will be withdrawn if there is no activity within the first two weeks.
