Dr. Armijos-Bravo is a research affiliate at LIDE. She teaches economics at Universidad de Especialidades Espíritu Santo in Ecuador.

Experience

Grace Armijos-Bravo conducts research on applied economics, with a particular focus on health economics and policy evaluation. Most of her work has focused on exploring how exogenous events may affect infant and maternal health. Her research has been published in journals such as the Journal of Health Economics, Fiscal Studies, and the Journal of Development Economics. She has also presented her work at regional and international conferences to help disseminate her findings and inform public policy.

Grace has also collaborated as a consultant for the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and UN Women, working on topics related to maternal and infant health. She has extensive teaching experience at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in universities in Ecuador and Spain.

Grace is a member of the Barcelona Institute of Economics (IEB), the Spanish Health Economics Association—where she is part of the Public Policy Evaluation group—and the ESAI Business School at Universidad de Especialidades Espíritu Santo in Ecuador.
