Alonso Quijano Ruiz holds a degree in Economics and Finance from Universidad San Francisco de Quito, a master's in Econometrics from Xiamen University, and a MicroMaster in Data, Economics, and Development Policy from JPAL. He is passionate about statistics and the use of experimental methods to evaluate solutions to social problems. His research has focused on the evaluation of mobile health policies in Ecuador, clinical trials for stroke patient rehabilitation, and reproductive health. He is a language and music enthusiast. In his free time, he plays the piano, the ocarina, and video games. His favorite series is The Legend of Zelda.
