Summary:
Our Quantificador Scholarships promote data literacy among low-income post-secondary students through free DataCamp subscriptions and data analysis and employability workshops.
Objective:
Provide learning opportunities in data science to disadvantaged post-secondary students that cannot afford quality education.

- Post-secondary students from all fields
- Employed or underemployed low-income individuals.
- People with enough time availability and motivation to study independently.
Content:
In order to promote data literacy through free education, Laboratorio LIDE provides 15 annual DataCamp subscriptions to low-income post-secondary students interested in acquiring new skills.
DataCamp is an online learning platform which offers courses on data science and programming in languages such as R, Python and SQL. They provide free subscriptions to more than 100 qualified organizations around the world through the DataCamp Donates program. Laboratorio LIDE is one of them.
The scholarships are distributed favoring female representation; thus, our first cohort of students is composed of 10 women and 5 men from different backgrounds. Our new cohorts have comprised 20-25 students each year.
