LIDE launches the call for El Quantificador Scholarships 2026–2027

The Laboratorio de Investigación para el Desarrollo del Ecuador (LIDE), in collaboration with DataCamp, has opened applications for the El Quantificador Scholarships 2026–2027. The initiative aims to expand access to training in data and support people with the need, merit, and commitment to make the most of this opportunity.

Who can apply?

The call is open to:

  • university students from any field;
  • employed or underemployed people with limited financial resources;
  • people with the time and motivation to study independently.

Applicants must also like the official call posted on any of El Quantificador’s social media accounts and follow El Quantificador.

There are no nationality or residency restrictions. People who have previously received a LIDE DataCamp scholarship may apply again.

What does the scholarship include?

Selected applicants will receive:

  • a free DataCamp license;
  • access to courses in programming and data science.

The license is expected to be active from November 1, 2026, through November 1, 2027, subject to DataCamp’s renewal and activation of the licenses. If operational delays occur, LIDE will inform scholarship recipients in a timely manner.

Important dates

  • opening: September 18, 2026;
  • application deadline: October 20, 2026;
  • review and selection: October 21–30, 2026;
  • expected scholarship start: November 1, 2026;
  • expected end date: November 1, 2027.

Monthly follow-up

Scholarship recipients will receive a reminder between the 25th and the last day of each month. LIDE will review activity on DataCamp between the 3rd and 5th of the following month, including XP and the activity dates recorded on the platform.
