How is the cost of living changing in Ecuador? How accessible is higher education? How are youth employment and gender gaps evolving?
Many of the country’s most important questions can be explored with data. But understanding them also requires strong visualizations: clear, rigorous, and reproducible graphics that communicate complex information in an accessible way.
With that goal in mind, El Quantificador and LIDE are launching Ecuador Quantificado, an open call for students, researchers, and anyone interested in data analysis and visualization about Ecuador.
What does the contest involve?
Participants must create and submit an original visualization related to Ecuador, using verifiable data and sharing the files needed to reproduce the analysis.
The goal is not simply to design eye-catching charts. We are looking for proposals that communicate relevant information in a clear, transparent, and evidence-based way.
Prizes
The top 3 submissions will receive:
- A 3-month premium DataCamp account.
- Publication of their work in El Quantificador.
